EA big man Peter Moore believes Microsoft is likely to be the first to release a new games console.

In a discussion over the need for physical media in gaming, Moore said: "[The industry is] at least a decade away from saying goodbye to a physical disc.

"The more important question is what does the next generation of console look like?", asked Moore before going on to say, according to Kotaku, it'll likely be MS to answer that question first.

Sony released the PSPgo on October 1, which boldly does away with the UMD drive instead using an entirely download-based system for it's games. But the benefits of this have been widely questioned, mostly by Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime.
